Melody Avecilla, Principal, has been in the insurance industry for over 20 years. She specializes in life insurance and commercial insurance such as workers compensation and general liability insurance. She completed her EMBA at the Loyola Marymount. Her robust experience in the insurance industry prompted her to write a book called “Sellebrate ™, Sales Guide for Those Who Hate to Lose”. This includes compilation of tips to help sales agents elevate their performance and sharpen their sales skill sets. As the host of the leadership podcast called “Dreamers to leaders”, she interviews business icons about their success formulas. Another trivia about Melody is she is the inventor of the world’s first push button retractable heel. She owns patents on that technology. She also writes for Asian Journal on insurance topics. Since 2018 she is a contributor for Forbes Los Angeles Business council where she gets to write articles on entrepreneurship. On holidays she gets involved in Toys for Tots charity event and she is an active community volunteer on several youth programs. She is an avid believer in the importance of continuous learning. This is demonstrated by her CLU (Chartered Life Underwriter) designation, green sigma certification from USC and digital marketing courses that she has completed from Cornell.
